I Used to Love That…

This week we’re looking into our pasts again.  What are some of your favorite belongings from your childhood and/or teen years that you wish you had today?  Or, what do you still have from way back when that you can’t part with?

Tinker Toys are cool. Every time I see them I’m tempted to buy some for myself.

I really want my great grandmother’s rolling pin that my mom currently has. LUV baking and used it quite a bit when I was first learning.

My old portable 8-track player, not that I would actually use it. Would also love to have some of my old 45s from when I was really young. Had disney songs and other kids music that I played over and over again.

My first portable typewriter, which was made for kids.

An old hand sewn beanbag frog I got at a garage sale when I was about nine.

Still have some of my dolls packed away. An old copy of Miracle on 34th Street my grandfather gave me. He also gave me an old volume of Shakespeare’s Tempest that was written for kids back in the late 1800s that’ll get passed down to my kids.

Oh my! I think my list could go on for about five more pages.
