#fridayflash The Extraction by Sue Mydliak

Ok, going to the dentist is not at the top of anyone’s’ list, but you know, I like to go.  Call me crazy, call me nut-so, but there’s something to be said about the cleanliness, and the comfortable chair…oh alright, I go because my dentist is drop dead gorgeous.  Oh my lord, I’d do anything for him and not complain [...]

#fridayflash The Night the Circus Came To Town by Sue Mydliak

There is something to be said about full moons…they are truly a sight to behold.   Which remind me, the story I am about to tell is a doozy. I was heading for the circus as I got out of my car.  It was a warm summer night and as you may guess, a full moon was out as well.  I [...]

#fridayflash The Revenge by Sue Mydliak

A tale is told to the meek and old, a tale as old as the sea.   So, listen carefully to my tale, its as gruesome as it can be. ABOUT THE AUTHOR BLOG Sue Mydliak is the Vamplit published author of Birthright. Candra Rosewood returns to Utica, but she’s already missed her parents funeral and everything she thought about her [...]

Mary’s Love, Solo by Sue Mydliak   In 1983, St. Raymonds Cathedral, as usual, did Midnight Mass, and the choir I was in was going to be recorded by Delta Records that night.  It was my first solo ever and on top of it, it was going to be recorded.  The Cathedral was packed, not a place to stand and [...]

Twas The Night That Was Creepy by Sue Mydliak

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, except dear old Klaus The clothes were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that the blood smell still would be there.   The coven were nestled all dead in their beds, While visions of horror played in their heads And Katherine in her [...]

The Undoing of Catherine

I can’t imagine being soulless, in fact the very thought scared me and that there wasn’t very many things that had. Sitting in my living room, I realized that I hadn’t been told her name or anything about her life. The only remembrance of her was this picture that hung above the mantel. She was a vision, beautiful, with ivory [...]

#fridayFlash/ Hooked/ Sue Mydliak

Light pierced my eyes as I wearily opened them.  A drowsy humor, like poison flowed through my veins burning.  I screamed out in pain only to find that I had no voice.  What hell is this that I should be put to such torture?  My throat is parched, I need of drink.  Beads of sweat rolled into my eyes, stinging [...]

Emma

I like Emma, as an actress, as a model (she can capture a picture like “magic”) and her campaigns that she runs and supports.  True “Girl Power” I was bored and thought I’d try some new techniques and brushes.

#fridayflash House of Souls by Sue Mydliak

Homes, at least in my opinion, are places of warmth, love and contentment.  So if I were to tell you that I was seriously wrong, you’d be asking, “Why?” I don’t know the answer, and even if I did I wouldn’t admit it, I don’t want to be labeled “crazy”. It was 1945, the year that WWII ended and we [...]

#fridayflash, eu am terminat by Sue Mydliak

Costumes are made to hide the real you, but what happens when that doesn’t fall true, what if…just maybe…the costume is you.  Gives you food for thought…doesn’t it. You walk down the street one dark and misty night and the only light there is, is the shimmering lit beams that yonder moon makes along your path.  You are not alone. [...]

#fridayflash Kostüm by Sue Mydliak

Where be these creatures who daunt my dreams of death and let me lie in such a state as this?  Then, when the moon shines bright, upon the dewy hills that beckon me so, I cometh. #fridayflash,The Perfect Pumpkin (this is for the heart, please help)

The cold wind blows across a sea of emerald green, whose arms are gnarled and twisted and where yellow flowers grow from its finger tips.   Sometimes those flowers grow into orange pumpkins, of various sizes and shapes and one day, on October 31st, it’ll meet its maker and shine like a beacon in some child’s window.  All Hallows Eve, or [...]

#fridayflash Opulent Mar by Sue Mydliak

This tale is short, but to the point, its details horrific, tormenting with fright.  Nevertheless, it is a tale that should be told and to be repeated…over and over…again… ABOUT THE AUTHOR BLOG Sue Mydliak is the Vamplit published author of Birthright. Candra Rosewood returns to Utica, but she’s already missed her parents funeral and everything she thought about her [...]

#Fridayflash The Newspaper by Sue Mydliak

One of my favorite holidays is Halloween.  What kid doesn’t like dressing up in silly or scary costumes and receive free candy?  I mean, it’s just a given right? It was a Thursday, school didn’t let out until three and it was only twelve.  “Oh my gosh could the day get any slower?”  The clock on the wall in Mrs. [...]

#fridayflash The Ace by Sue Mydliak

Sarah Jane, now there’s a name you can’t forget.  She was wild as they came and with that wildness spelled trouble.  Boy’s liked her and not because she was smart.  Was I jealous of her, no, truth be known I wasn’t very good at hiding my emotions, so I guess you can say I was envious of her…oh heck, I [...]

#fridayflash Letters from Afar by Sue Mydliak

Dearest Lucy, The days here at home are grave.  Mother hasn’t slept for days since you left and Papa just continues to smoke his cigar, ignoring the entire trauma that has played out recently.  I fear for my life and yet, there is no one to whom I can find comfort in, only you. William doesn’t visit our family anymore, [...]

Winter had arrived and I was glad of it.  I knew that with the snow and cold it would cover up all the ugliness the earth dared to show.  I was truly wondering if this was the end of the world, because the more I thought about it, the more I would have to agree with my thoughts…just then Arch [...]

#fridayflash (Grotesque love mask) Trick or Treat by Sue Mydliak

Halloween night, something about this holiday makes me like a kid again. I would wait for night to fall, then the sounds of distant voices yelling out the familiar, “Trick or treat!”  It was more than I could stand!  Then you’d come home with your bag full of candy and empty it out making a pile of your favorites no [...]

Untimely Death by Sue Mydliak

Next thing I knew was I was on something flat, cold and uncomfortable. My ankle hurt, and being not too coherent, I went to feel what was wrong, only I couldn’t. Pain shot through my left arm as I moved it. That wasn’t the only pain I felt either, between my legs felt raw too, God who had their jollies [...]

#fridayflash Love on the Fly by Sue Mydliak

It was another one of those hot, muggy summer nights, the kind that made you get angry at the slightest word anyone said to you.  My clothes, clung to my skin, wet, heavy…God I wanted to yank them off and go butt naked, but still having my sanity I shrugged it off and went for a walk.  The moon was [...]

Vampire Girl by David Eddy (my twin)

She’s one of the undead that lives off the blood of the innocent. Her days are our nights and yet she doesn’t seem to mind. She’s the seductress; and needs to be, yet it all seems so natural for her. As she walks down the street at night, her long dark tresses fan out behind her like the fan tail [...]

From the Inside Looking Out........By David Eddy (my twin)

Have you ever sat in front of a mirror and wondered what it must be like to be on the other side: looking at the world from the inside? Rather “twilight zone” if you ask me. However, really what would it be like? Would it be different? In addition, how do we know we aren’t already on the inside looking [...]

#fridayflash Abandoned by Sue Mydliak

Abandoned and forgotten, that is what I was. Born like any other child, to two parents who I thought loved me, but as fate would have it, discarded me like old rubbish. Why you ask, because I was different, not to their liking, whatever that was. I had red hair, a tangle mess of curls, skinny, very pale and striking [...]

I was born in a world where monsters are real, that in the security of one’s room, evil lurks and there is no escaping it, for they watch and wait for their next kill.   The brightness of the blood that pooled around Eldon’s head in the snow looked like a halo, a devils halo.  I did not mourn, why [...]
